...we discussed how I might use my passion for analytical work which I wasn’t doing in my position. I also scored fairly high in “Inspirer” that suggested that even though I want to do analytical work, it would have to have meaning to people. That insight was instrumental to my understanding why some analytical work was appealing to me and others were not.

Now I am doing the work that I had hoped to achieve. My position with the Maryland Highway Safety Office is even more than I had originally hoped. Through my evaluation of data, I will play an instrumental role in the direction and type of programs that we undertake in the future to promote safety on Maryland highways. I’m also finding that my organizational skills are going to play an important role since I deal with a lot of different people and programs. The work is much more interesting and challenging than what I was doing. Just goes to show, you‘re never too old to make changes in your life.
